The Plastic In-Use Weatherproof Covers are designed to meet the needs of a variety of applications, making them an easy-to-install option. The WP3100C, a single gang NEMA 3R receptacle cover, ensures compliance with the 2008 NEC Article 406.8 (B) (1), which requires that 15 and 20 ampere, 125 and 250 volt receptacles installed in a wet location have an enclosure that is weatherproof whether or not the attachment plug cap is inserted. Additionally, they meet the 1999 NEC Article 410-57(b) and are designed to meet the 1999 NEC Article 210-60(b), which requires that receptacles installed behind beds in hotels and motels be protected with a suitable guard.
The WP3100C is shipped with a gasket, mounting screws, base and cover assembly, and patented inserts. The single gang Flexi-Guard series provides inserts for 16 different applications, and the WP3100C can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The patented insert design ensures flexibility by simply inserting the proper insert into the base and cover assembly.
The Plastic In-Use Weatherproof Covers are WEATHERPROOF, meeting UL Type 3R outdoor enclosure standards and complying with the 2020 NEC Article 314.15 for damp and wet locations, making them a reliable option for outdoor use. The covers are also EASY TO INSTALL, with a 1/8" (3 mm) thick, pre-adhered neoprene gasket with slits for mounting screws to simplify the installation process.
The Plastic In-Use Weatherproof Covers are HEAVY-DUTY, with a durable UV stabilized polycarbonate cover, mounting base, and inserts to provide long-lasting protection. They are also VERSATILE, featuring three inserts, including GFCI, standard duplex, Round and toggle, making them a great fit for various installations, and they can be mounted both vertically and horizontally.
The Plastic In-Use Weatherproof Covers feature a SECURE FIT, with a patented insert design and single gang NEMA 3R receptacle cover to ensure a secure fit for your outdoor electrical outlet. The maximum cord size is (2) #14 AWG or (1) #12 AWG, and each cover measures 5.75" x 4" x 2.75".
